We are looking for a Machine Learning Scientist to join a biotechnology company that specializes in predicting stem cell differentiation through live cell microscopy and artificial intelligence. ​What You Will Be Doing

  • Spearheading Research Advancements: Identifying and implementing cutting-edge methodologies in machine learning to drive innovation in AI models for predictive modeling, detection, classification, and pattern recognition of stem cell populations.

  • Data Enrichment: Sourcing open-source multi-modal datasets to enhance the robustness of AI models, collaborating closely with computational biologists to ensure data quality.

  • Data Strategy and Proof of Concept: Identifying essential data requirements and developing collection approaches to validate proof of concept for AI models, especially in microscopy data analysis and genomics-related hypotheses.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Working closely with cross-functional teams to drive multidisciplinary research projects, integrating computer vision techniques into genomics research efforts effectively.

What The Company Hiring is Looking For

  • A Ph.D. in a technical subject.

  • A strong publication record in top-tier AI conferences.

  • Proficiency in Python, cloud infrastructure, and ML libraries like TensorFlow and PyTorch.

  • Experience with large-scale system design and self-supervised ML.

  • Expertise in generative models, decision-making approaches, and multi-task learning.

  • Familiarity with sequential models and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in genomics or bioinformatics research projects in an academic, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology setting

  • Experience in microscopy data and their applications

  • Proven experience in stem cell research projects in an academic, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology setting
