Responsibilities

  • Manual Testing: Perform thorough testing of new features and bug fixes, creating and maintaining test cases and documenting issues using tools like Jira.

  • Test Automation: Develop automation scripts using Selenium or similar tools, and maintain automated testing frameworks.

  • Regression Testing: Ensure updates don’t affect existing functionality through regular regression tests.

  • Collaboration: Work with developers and product managers to integrate QA processes and communicate risks or issues.

  • Performance Testing: Conduct performance and load tests to ensure scalability.

  • Test Data Management: Prepare test data for both manual and automated tests.

  • Reporting: Document results and provide updates on QA progress during sprints.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in software QA (manual and automated).

  • Proficient in creating automation scripts using Selenium or equivalent tools.

  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and QA methodologies.

  • Experience with bug tracking systems such as Jira or Trello.

  • Hands-on experience with API testing and RESTful services.

  • Expertise in regression, smoke, and performance testing.

  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced development environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.

  • Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS and testing cloud-native applications.

  • Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
