We are hiring for a company focused on applying deep learning and AI to enhance customer service operations for rapidly growing businesses. Their team is a close-knit, remote group spread across the UK, US, and Europe, united by the goal of making customer service seamless and efficient. We're currently seeking a senior-level Front End Developer with 5+ years of experience to contribute to the evolution of their AI-driven product suite. This role requires a proactive, autonomous worker who is excited to collaborate and take ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the in-house designer to build clear, concise, and user-friendly interfaces for core web-based products.

  • Mentor and support junior team members.

  • Manage multiple projects, collaborating with creative design and back-end teams to deliver innovative client-side technical solutions.

  • Fix bugs and refactor legacy code as needed.

  • Provide feedback on key project components, test, validate, and document development work.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of commercial experience building JavaScript applications, particularly those that interact with APIs.

  • Proficiency in ES6+, React, Redux, and related technologies.

  • Familiarity with tooling such as Webpack, Babel, and ESLint.

  • Experience with TypeScript and Node.js.

  • Strong understanding of HTML/CSS, cross-browser compatibility, performance, and web standards (W3C/WCAG).

  • Experience with Sass and/or JSS, and deep expertise in CSS.

  • Experience with unit testing using Jest, Enzyme, or similar frameworks, and an appreciation for writing testable code.

  • Commercial Git experience.

  • Knowledge of interaction design, with some crossover into user experience (UX).

  • Experience in prototyping, whether in tools, on paper, or with code.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with Redux Saga, D3.js.

  • Exposure to AWS.

  • Experience with Docker or CI/CD pipelines.
